NRCHA is Hiring Foundation & Youth Coordinator

The National Reined Cow Horse Association, based in Pilot Point, TX is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Foundation and Youth Development Coordinator. This role is critical in supporting the NRCHA Foundation’s mission through fundraising, project management and event production, as well as driving connected youth development initiatives.

Fundraising & Donor Relations:

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the NRCHA Foundation’s mission, with a focus on key initiatives such as the Cowboy Crisis Fund and Youth Scholarships.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners to ensure ongoing financial support for the Foundation.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with current donors, ensuring consistent communication and engagement to enhance donor retention and increase giving.

Event Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to plan, organize, and execute special events that align with the Foundation’s goals and NRCHA’s organizational priorities.
  • Ensure events are executed smoothly, meet fundraising objectives, and foster community engagement.

Record Keeping & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all Foundation activities, including fundraising efforts, donor contributions, event outcomes, and financial reports.

  • Provide regular reports on progress, challenges, and successes to the Executive Director and key leadership teams.

Program Evaluation & Improvement:

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of Foundation programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Partner with the Executive Director and Director of Programs to review outcomes and implement improvements as needed.

Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Coordination:

  • Work closely with the Event Services and Educational Programs Coordinators to ensure seamless integration of Foundation initiatives with other organizational events and programs. 
  • Support cross-functional teams to maximize impact and alignment with NRCHA’s mission.

Key Youth Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary staff liaison for the Youth Committee, fostering communication and collaboration to support youth involvement in planning and executing their own activities at Premier Events.
  • Partner with the Director of Programs to create and facilitate advanced development opportunities for NRCHA youth members, focusing on leadership skills, professional development, and industry connections. This includes exposure to boardroom settings, business etiquette, and other key professional skills to prepare youth for future leadership roles.
  • Work effectively with a diverse age range of youth, from young children to older teens, adapting strategies to meet the developmental needs of each group and fostering a positive and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Collaborate with NRCHA members to support and promote NRCHYA clinics, activities, and classes, ensuring the effective delivery and growth of these youth-focused programs.
  • Collaborate with the Educational Program Coordinator to align and support overlapping initiatives, such as High School Rodeo and Youth Clinics, ensuring a cohesive approach to youth development and growth within the NRCHA community.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, event production, and fundraising, preferably with Foundations. 
  • Previous experience in foundation work is required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Canva, HubSpot, Asana, and Google Workspace preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel to clinics and premier events.
