NRCHA Welcomes Tina McCleary as Member & Affiliate Show Manager

In early December, the National Reined Cow Horse Association gained a friendly new face as the member and affiliate show manager, Tina McCleary. With experience as a show secretary at the affiliate level and having assisted with NRCHA premier events, McCleary brings experience to the position.

Recently, McCleary managed the equestrian program and fundraising for Still Creek Ranch, located in Bryan, Texas. It was also the site of several South Texas Reined Cow Horse Association, an NRCHA affiliate, shows.

“I am originally from the Temple area, but most recently from the Bryan-College Station area, where I lived 20 years with my husband Kyle,” she said. “I grew up with horses, have ridden my whole life and have shown Stock Horse of Texas and some AQHA. Then, I got started running horse shows. I started as secretary at South Texas shows, then for other affiliates.”

Whether a member has questions about entry, a show secretary is submitting results or an affiliate is looking for information, McCleary is the first stop for the NRCHA information. As a show secretary herself, McCleary’s seen first-hand how a show secretary needs to access and process information.

“I think it will be a huge advantage in my position here at NRCHA because I am familiar with the process, the forms and with many of the members,” she said. “My hope is it helps expedite memberships, show approvals and show results processing. My goal is to try and stay as current as possible, to not let there be a lag in processing our forms and results, and to communicate well with members and affiliate management.”

McCleary will coordinate memberships, the sanctioned and approved NRCHA event calendar, process show approvals and results, and also travel to NRCHA premier events.
