Beverly Servi – Durango, Colorado

Dear NRCHA Members,

I am writing to humbly ask for your support as I seek re-election to the NRCHA Board. Over the past two years, I have dedicated myself to representing our membership, with a particular focus on welcoming new members and fostering meaningful connections within our community. My passion lies in ensuring that all members-whether long-standing or just beginning their journey-feel supported and valued.

A highlight of my time with NRCHA has been the development of the Stallion Incentive Program. Initially, I designed this program as a private initiative, but I realized that it would be better served within the NRCHA community. The development of this program involved significant research, where I examined all incentive programs across different equine industries. I worked independently for the first year, analyzing which components would best suit the overall needs of the members.

I presented the incentive program to our Executive Director, Emily Konkel, who encouraged me to bring it to the board. I partnered with the program director to finalize the details and ensure its success. I volunteered all my time and expertise for this project, and I am proud to see how it has supported our organization’s growth. It has now grown into a million-dollar initiative that benefits breeders, owners, and trainers alike.

A year ago, I was honored to be asked by Emily Konkel to join the Strategic Planning Committee. This position has given me the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of the NRCHA, helping ensure that we continue to grow in ways that support our members’ success.

If re-elected, I will continue to dedicate myself to the growth of the NRCHA, fostering innovation, and building opportunities that benefit breeders, owners, and trainers. I am passionate about serving our community and ensuring that we all thrive together.

Thank you for your consideration and for your vote.

Cayley Wilson – Rosston, Teas

Hello,

I am Cayley Wilson and I was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada where I trained horses for 21 years before myself and my family moved to Rosston Texas. Rosston is located in North Texas close to Gainesville or Forestburg for those who might be wondering where that is. I have had the pleasure of serving on the NRCHA Board over the past 6 years as Head of the Professionals Committee and also on the Judges Committee. I currently hold a AAAA Judge status for the National Reined Cow Horse Association and judge several shows a year.

In 2023, with the help of my great team, we advanced 3 of 6 horses shown into the Open NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Finals. This was certainly a career highlight for me, my family, and our owners.

In 2024, we were blessed to take WR Superstar to the Open Finals.

I am so grateful to be involved with such a wonderful Community of people and Professional Organization, such as the NRCHA. I consider you all part of my NRCHA Family and look forward to the opportunity to serve you again on the NRCHA Board of Directors, thank you for your consideration.

Dan Roeser – Marsing, Idaho

I would welcome the opportunity to continue serving the NRCHA as a member of the Board of Directors. I previously served as the NRCHA President in 2005 and 2006 and have held various positions, including Chairman of the Rules, Judges, Ethics and Hall of Fame committees. Currently, I am Chairman of the Rules and Hall of Fame committees and an active member of the Judges Committee.

During my tenure we have achieved significant milestones for the reined cow horse industry. My work on the Judges and Rules Committees has made me highly familiar with the rule book and I frequently receive calls from Judges, Show Management and Exhibitors seeking rule and equipment clarifications during and after shows. I also collaborate closely with the NRCHA office staff.

The Hall of Fame committee is especially dear to my heart. Our association has grown immensely, and the competition is fierce. I feel a deep responsibility to preserve the roots of NRCHA honoring the great people and horses that have shaped our history. It is vital for everyone in the industry to know the traditions of Reined Cow Horse.

I have been deeply involved in implementing the NRCHA regional horse show system and creating the NRCHA World Show. My passion for, and involvement with the association’s history, makes me excited to be part of its bright future.

Dr. Joe Carter – Norman, Oklahoma

I have been a vocal advocate for animal welfare, strategic planning, and Human Resources. I have been a veterinarian for the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® and major NRCHA events since 2006. I consider this and serving on the board to be one of the greatest honors of my career. I ask for your support.

Jake Telford – Caldwell, Idaho

Jake Telford

It has been an honor to serve on the board the past 12 years, and I look forward to the possibility of continuing to serve the members of the NRCHA. I have previously been on the executive, professional, ethics, and rules committees. I have also been an open rider, a lifetime member, and my children have been youth and non-pro members. This has given me insight into different aspects of the NRCHA and how to help all members feel valued and supported while also advancing their collective goals. I’m running for re-election so that I can continue to help elevate the NRCHA and the growth that it has seen in the past several years. Thank you for your time and support.

Lance Johnston – Lindsay, California

I’m a husband, a father, a ranch raised cowboy, a NRCHA member for 30 years, NRCHA Million Dollar Rider, NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Open Champion, NRCHA AAAA Judge and last but not least a passionate reined cow horse fan.

The NRCHA has given me a platform to do what I love which is train and show reined cow horses while at the same time being able to provide for my family.

I am running for the NRCHA BOD in order to give back to an association that has given so much to me and my family. If nominated, I hope to continue the hard work I have started this last year on the BOD as the Head of the Judges Committee. I appreciate your time and consideration.

Paul Bailey – Sparta, Tennessee

Dear members,

When I became Vice President of the board, we were running a deficit of $150,000 annually. Over the past 12 years your association has made a huge turnaround by being fiscally responsible and becoming financially stable. Along with tremendous growth in membership, adding additional non pro classes, moving to better venues, and increased sponsorships has allowed for bigger payouts to our owners and exhibitors. I’m asking for your vote to continue moving the NRCHA forward.

Paul Bailey/Vice President NRCHA

Paul Bailey, Sparta, Tennessee, has been in the transportation/warehousing business for 38 years. Besides his service on the NRCHA Board of Directors, Paul is also a Tennessee State Senator. Paul is an avid reined cow horse competitor, as is his wife, Amy.

Russ Mothershead –  Cape Girardeau, Missouri

My journey with NRCHA began in 2009 at Reno, when I attended my first show. From that moment, I was hooked -and quickly became an owner, breeder and advocate for this incredible sport. Having spent my life working in agriculture and supporting rural communities, I’m eager to bring my experience and dedication to the NRCHA Board. Over the past 15 years, I’ve been proud to witness NRCHA’s growth, and I strongly supported the move of the Snaffle Bit Futurity to Fort Worth. Along the way, I’ve built lasting relationships with fellow owners, trainers, and spectators – some of the most rewarding aspects of my involvement!

With over 40 years of experience in Agri-Business, I bring a broad range of knowledge to the table, including ownership and management of companies in fertilizer, grain merchandising, trucking, stevedoring, and limestone aggregate mining. I have a deep understanding of agricultural commodities, international marketing, and domestic distribution. Growing up on the family farm, where I continue to live today, has strengthened my commitment to supporting and giving back to rural communities and programs.

I’m passionate about supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders, including youth involved in 4-H, FFA, and youth cow horse. If elected to the NRCHA Board, I would be honored to contribute my experience to help continue the organization’s success and support its ongoing growth for all involved.
