Allerton, Iowa, horseman Luke Jones first found success in the rope horse industry before transitioning to the reined cow horse. Now, he can boast multiple National Reined Cow Horse Association premier event finals berths as well as American Quarter Horse Association World Championships in the event.

While the majority of his earnings come from regular top placings in NRCHA affiliate events, n 2007, Jones made his first NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Limited Open Finals, and in 2008, made both the Intermediate Open and Limited Open Finals. In 2013, he was an Open finalist in the event. Since then, Jones has been a regular staple at the event, riding to two top 15 placings in 2018. Among his accomplishments include the Reserve Champion Open Hackamore Classic title in 2014.

With Mr Comin In Hot Mr Playinstylish x Lil Sally Cat x High Brow Cat), owned by Kit and Charlie Moncrief, Jones has made the World’s Greatest Horseman Finals, earned the AQHA 2020 Junior Working Cow Horse World Champion and 2021 Senior Working Cow Horse World Champion titles, and qualified for The Run For A Million Cow Horse Challenge, placing 5^th.

He started Jones Performance Horses in 2002, and continues to compete in roping, reining and cow horse events in multiple associations. In 2023, Jones crossed the Million Dollar milestone. Along with Jones, his wife, Non Pro World Champion Erin Jones, and their children all compete in NRCHA.
