Jared Jones grew up in Malta, Idaho, but now calls Santa Maria, California, and Justin Wright Performance Horses home. Though his rider earnings report for National Reined Cow Horse Association only began in 2017, he has more than $256,000 in earnings, including piloting two horses to the 2021 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Open Finals.

He rode into the top 30 rider list of 2022 with titles such as the 2022 Idaho Reined Cow Horse Association Magicality Futurity Open Snaffle Bit Reserve Champion on Remerada (Cats Merada x Chicks Sassy Nic x Reminic), owned by Lucava Farms, Inc.; and 2022 NRCHA DT Horses Western Derby Two Rein Spectacular Open Champion Remys Merada (Cats Merada x Chicks Sassy Nic x Reminic) owned by Lucava Farms Inc., and also placed sixth in the same class on PRF Peptos Smart Cat (WR This Cats Smart x Wild Francine x Peptoboonsmal), owned by Tori Simons, a horse he also rode to win the 2020 NRCHA Derby Intermediate Open Derby.

In 2017, he claimed the National Stock Horse Association Limited Open Snaffle Bit Champion on Bet Shesa Fancy Cat (Bet Hesa Cat x Real Hickory Smoke x Lil Bit O Hickory), who he owns, and which was the first horse he showed in the World’s Greatest Horseman, in 2021.
