When acclaimed clinician and trainer Chris Cox takes the mike alongside 6-time Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Champion All-Around Cowboy and Hall of Fame honoree Larry Mahan for a special one-hour edition of RFD-TV Equine Live on Thursday, July 29, one topic of conversation will be the 2010 National Reined Cow Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity.
The 2-time Road to the Horse World Champion has made a living teaching equine enthusiasts versatility in horsemanship. “I teach how to make horses that can go from the trail to the arena, and everything from starting a colt to showing it,” he explained.
Cox, whose family ran over 8,000 head of cattle, was practically raised on the back of a horse. “Horses and cows are just common partners for me, and everything I teach is influenced by cattle,” he said. “That makes the Snaffle Bit Futurity very enticing to me.”
Cox is familiar to RFD-TV viewers. His television series “Chris Cox Horsemanship” airs three times weekly on the popular network. But RFD-TV Equine Live has a unique format.
